Learning to Learn
Cuffley School is committed to developing children as lifelong learners, within a caring and inclusive enviroment. We value the skills of learning and use a variety of methods to support children's acquisition of these skills.
We plan lessons which incorporate a variety of learning styles; we teach the children how to use Edward de Bono's 'Thinking Hats' to structure their thinking; and we enable children to take control of their learning by using Pupil-Informed Choice. We support and encourage children to develop their skills and challenge them to learn new skills.
We are proud to have been accredited as a 'Thinking School' by Exeter University, one of the few primary schools in the country to have achieved this status.
