4-part module based CMI accredited course
The Wroxham TLA is now a Chartered Management Institute (‘CMI’) Recognised Centre. The CMI is the UK’s only chartered professional body specialising in management and leadership excellence.
We are delighted to bring you this CMI leadership programme which will consist of four modules designed for Heads, Deputy Heads and aspiring Leaders. Key leadership themes to be covered include; openness, generosity, listening, skills of reflecting, coaching and self care/management.
Module 1 – Self Awareness
Monday 11 September 2017 – 9am to 3pm
Self awareness – how do we see ourselves and how do others perceive us? How do I adapt my style in order to connect better with others? This module will be based on a Jungian based psychometric.
Module 2 – Coaching for Capacity Building
Monday 16 October 2017 – 9am to 4.30pm
Coaching – how to have great conversations that unlock an individual’s capacity to achieve. This module will cover the key skills of coaching in particular generous listening and questioning.
We will also look to cover; scaling, the challenge support matrix, the Karpman drama triangle and coaching behaviours.
Module 3 – Leadership Styles
Monday 13 November 2017 – 9am to 4.30pm
The Leadership challenge – how do I know what is appropriate? What is my style?
When do I direct, when is it appropriate to delegate or just act as a sounding board? How do I know what level of support is appropriate, and when, for which tasks and for whom?
A structured leadership module will be introduced which will help you when making decision about the appropriate leadership style to employ. A mini 360 will also form part of this module.
Module 4 – Management of Self
Monday 11 December 2017 – 9am to 12.30pm
Managing yourself in a “pressure cooker world”. A focus on the skills of resilience and self management including information gained from an Emotional Intelligence questionnaire.
All of the modules will look to focus on real challenges that the participants will be asked to bring with them. Each participant will also be provided with and encouraged to fill in a Reflective Learning Diary, so the process of learning continues outside of the classroom.
Please book early to avoid disappointment. Numbers are limited to twelve delegates.
